As part of the Chinese New Year celebration, the Entertainment Office organizes Lunar New Year Lantern Carnivals every year. The public can enjoy spectacular lantern displays and performances featuring classical songs and dance and traditional stage arts at the Carnival. Other activities popular with the public include nostalgic games, palm-readings and lantern riddle games.
Lunar New Year Thematic Lantern Exhibition
To introduce Chinese ethnic culture to residents and tourists alike, month-long lantern displays with themes are held at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza or West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade around Lunar New Year.
