Mystical folk tales from the Caribbean
Awash with Caribbean rhythms and tropical abundance, Once On This Island tells the story of Ti Moune, a poor peasant girl who falls in love with Daniel, a rich city boy whose life she saves after a car crash. The four gods who rule the lives of the island's inhabitants send Ti Moune on a challenging journey that tests the strength of her love. This enchanting musical features a compelling narrative, movement-driven staging, upbeat songs and poignant ballads reflective of its Caribbean setting.
